Small wrist top GPS receiver with easy to read display, heart rate monitor and USB interface. Also well suited as bike computer. As a personal training assistant, the GARMIN Forerunner 305 records the travelled path (track), your heart rate, distance, time and pace/speed, computes the calories burned and helps to achieve your personal workout goals. This download area offers free firmware upgrades for select Garmin® units. These upgrades are specific to the specific GPS units and software versions listed. I remember a couple of years ago my Garmin Edge 305 had a similar problem. The fix at that time was to copy the gupdate.gcd file to the device, but before you switch it on again in order for the device to update, you had to connect it to the charging cable, which was plugged int a charger plugged into a wall electricity outlet. Added the capability to read and write courses, workouts and user profile to fitness devices such as the Edge 305 and Forerunner 305. Added the capability to plan trips by writing locations to SD cards without a GPS device present.
